Hi everyone,
I'm considering working for Lloyds or Boots. But it's very difficult to take a decision. Maybe you can give me a few advices. Any information will be a real help for me. Thanks.

Personally lloyds
The only boots you'll catch me working in are my ''Doc Martens''
Having worked for both I would recommend neither! Just my opinion though!
Have to say have found Superdrug good to work for.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought...
As Harry Hill would say...
"There's only one way to solve this .... fight!"
Have worked for the 'B' company many years ago.
I felt like a 'work unit' dispensing for 'treatment units'.
I've heard stories about the 'L' company that it is stressful due to shortage of support staff and unrealistic targets.
Not sure about the 'S' company mentioned by Johnep.
Why not try them all as a locum for a day or two?
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
What do you want?;..................
Working as a locum you can get a very different impression than you would as a manager. Staff who are appreciative of the help supplied by a diligent locum can suddenly dump a lot of the work that they have been doing onto the new manager as "it's the manager's job!"
When I worked for Superdrug as a locum I found both branches left me with no dispensing staff and an unfamiliar computer system.
I think Lloyds varies more by area than some. I was a manager with Hills when they merged with Lloyds. We had a fast turnover of area managers and I was less than impressed. As a locum in more recent years I think there has probably been some improvement.
Boots shops still feel different depending on whether they were Moss or Boots before the merger. "My local Boots" are rebranded Moss shops and as I used to work in Moss a lot I am more comfortable there. Larger Boots stores often have a second pharmacist to provide lunchtime cover so that you can take a proper break. There is no easy way to tell where you will fit.
why them,? come and work for the co-operative, at least you'll get paid on time, so all the locums tell me that come to work at my branch.x
