    Smart Cards

    I finally got my NHS smart card after a two month wait due to various holidays (none of which were mine) yahoo!! I thought.

    Then I found out they gave me a version five card and most systems only support version four. Cegedim have told be it'll be months before they'll upgrade Pharmacy Manager or NexPhase.

    The NHS lady wouldn't give me or enable my card for version four.

    I guess i'll have to wait

    i think your PCT has upgraded their version, so you cannot get an older version unless you are renewing your certificate, anyway, to them it is faster to issue a brand new one instead of messing about with renewing your old certificate. Next time you go to renew your certificate in about 2-3 years time, you would most probably be offered a new card with new version
