    I just don't understand how the pharmacy can be profitable at all in these times?
    You hardly get reimbursment for the actual drugs dispensed..
    OK, you get 90p for an item, but if the pharmacy does 300-350items, this is only to cover pharmacist wages? How about at least 40 hours of dispenser and 40hours of sales assistant? Am i missing something in the whole business mode of action or that's the way it works?

    Profit has always been in the price you can obtain meds for compared to DT.
    BTC reckoned on making 150k/day when generic simvastatin introduced until PPA lowered tariff.

    John, but in reality, can you still get those fast movers at lower prices than drug tariff?
    I quess it is a similar story with plavix at the moment
