What is everyone's take on boots and their company as a whole. Also what are the different levels within the organization. It has come to my attention that there can be a pharmacist, pharmacy manager but also an area pharmacy manager?
What are the pay rates?

Well you have a pharmist, which does the basic role in store on prescribing drugs
Pharm manager, os is the resonsible Pharm and over see dispenary over all preformance of their staff like a store manager
Area Pharm is in chargre of all of pharms in the area e.g Derbyshire
As you can proberly read thats were the money maker is and thats what should be aimed for. If you really good could go for a position of reigional Pharm
37K doesn't sound like a huge amount, but I know for a fact they used to operate an extremely attractive bonus and overtime structure. They have a history of keeping remuneration packages to a personal, contractual level. I did know a guy in Ireland 5 years ago who regularly cleared €5K monthly after tax. Times they are a-changin' though!
The pharmacist i work with at Tescos started on £39k plus overtime and locums. Not bad at 24yrs old at all. My friends brother is a pharmacy manager at boots and makes £45k plus a bonus.
I know a Boots pharmacist in Ireland who reckons he is on the equivalent of 50k sterling. He's allright as he is in a shopping centre and has recently won a lucrative care home contract. He said the new positions are all having their wages slashed. I wouldn't want to work in some of the old alliance branches near me. Some look like sweatshops for pharmacists but I guess it depends on the exact location as all multiples have problems recruiting in certain areas
He only does 4 days a week and isn't a manager

ye it is quite low but he is only 27 and at the end of the day he is in the top 10% of earners, has a 3 bedroom house, a bmw m3 and two holidays a year. Not much more you can ask for.
