PDA can not do anything, he signed a 2 year contract. no one forced him to sign such a contract, especially if he/she had other offers. Boots contract even mentioned something re the average income paid for new gradfuates on such a contract( i read the 2 year contract, it stated somthing along ' last year, all the releifs who signed the 2 year contract were paid more than 30K').
will get hold of the contract now and re-read it, my housemate rejected their offer, and signed a pre-ref offer with an independent (16K compared with 18K paid by boots). he just does not want all the hassle to move to a new town, look for a house and new friends and be tied up for 2 years in a shitty area).

p.s Boots/Lloyds 2 year contract is just like SOPs. they are to be used against you and to protect the multiples from any blame or legal procedure.

Oh come on!....No-one is 'forced' to work as a pharmacist anywhere in the UK. Of course they are located in branches where local pharmacists will not work. That is why they were offered (and presumably accepted) such positions in the first place. Just a thought, conversely, how many UK-national pharmacists have chosen to up-sticks and work in 'emerging' EU countries, and have been considered welcome? My guess...none.

Well of course that is the nub of it. 'We are free to insult you in the UK', come to our country and behave like that and you will be lynched.

Maybe that's because there aren't that many UK-national pharmacists with a working knowledge of Polish, Romanian, or Bulgarian...
And judging by some of the posts on this forum, I can't really say that EU pharmacsts are 'considered welcome' in the UK, especially not in East Anglia!

just work as you feeling disatissfied turn up late if too hard to get an early train , when they review dissattisfaction voice your own - refuse to sign initial contract and point out matters such as out of hours and all other sundry items were not discussed and the variation in terms make the proposed contract unacceptable - they will let you go - have lots of locums lined up first tho

It is a matter of history that the world's second language is English. No EU second language in UK.

    English.
Most in the area where I work don't use the letter "t" in the middle of words, eg gu'ed' for 'gutted'. This includes some of the receptionists at the Drs. Parace'amol, rani'idine.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................

Welsh is both EU allowed and used officially in the UK.

    r Cymraeg ydy 'n fyw

In spite of many, many attempts by the English.
