Depends on the pharmacy and the overheads.

My initial thought was that £22 per hour was low, however a recent posting on PrivateRx makes it sound quite good.

SD rates are:

Mon-Fri 8am-7pm £22/hr
Sat £25/hr

Sun/Bank Holidays £27/hr

Sun/Bank Hol Rota £42/hr for first hour, then at normal rate.

Special rates for Easter Sunday/Christmas Day/New Years Day.

I currently charge these to Lloyds as well. Someone said Lloyds paying £25/hr throughout July. No wonder they want me to work every day at £22/hr!.

I will be bringing this up with the Area Manager.

If I worked full time, then would incorporate and register for VAT.

I just charge everyone £25 per hour all year round. The owner of the locum agency I work for has recently told me he has got some people up to £35 per hour, but not me.

I think in Northern Ireland they are paying about 130 pounds a day. Maybe someone still working there could correct me.
