Advice please.
Hi,
I am currently doing NVQ3 dispensing technician course. I need to write a brief bit about how powders are made. I am struggling to find any relevant info. Can anyone tell me best place to find something like this. Have already done capsules, it was the easy one!

Re: Advice please.
Standard example in the pharmacy -- Beechams Powders.
Powders were weighed quantities of the med put onto a square of white demy and folded over a small brass trestle to get uniform results.
If you really want to know the technology behind powders, then google:
size reduction, flow of powders, angle of repose, dust hazards, nest of sieves,
particle size analysis.
Should keep you quiet for a bit. Also look up 'go take a powder',
seidlitz powders.
Cosmetics industry major user of powder technology.
