    help!!

    Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to this forum and wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I have just graduated with my MPharm degree and am doing my prereg in hospital. However, I have realised that I have made a mistake and its community pharmacy that I see my long term future in. I just wanted to ask, will I be able to work in community after I have qualified?
    Thank you

    Steven

The answer, quite simply mate is yes - there shouldn't be a problem.

I can only suggest you contact your course tutor, and ask why you were given no advice..then again..did you ask for any?

    Re: help!!

Its not that I wasnt given advice, I did weigh up my options carefully and thought that hospital would be for me because it would be more clinical. However, I have found it so frustrating because there is negligible patient contact and no scope to make decisions. Community attracts me because there is more patient contact and opportunity to get involved with public health. Added to that is also the challenge of diagnosing minor illness and distinguishing it from serious pathology. I have thought long and hard, and community is where I want my future to be, I just hope I will be able to do get into community after my prereg.
