Hi
In my experience it always depends on the nature of the shop. I know a place where the pharmacist (non manager) earns 48k plus bonus, but there are lot of addicts and a needle exchange etc. This isn't a Boots, but all the multiples pay around the same, and it depends upon the shop as I said.
The best jobs, as far as I can see, are the ones for small chains etc. You get a more personal relationship with the company owner(s), often knowing all the company staff by name. They too have to compete with salaries for pharmacists, and it's always seemed to be the same story - it all depends on hours, workload etc.
If you see a job in the PJ offering a large salary, it will be a tough shop, either because of where it is or workload.
Just my opinion.......
