    Re: Help!

I am doing it with an idependent but honestly doesnt matter where you are you will always be seen as an extra pare of hands just get on with it an learn from every script. Dispensing helps you learn. Always ask your self four questions

Do i know how does this drug works or the class of the drug
    What is the max dose
What are the common side effects
    What is it used for

    Take the antidepressants SSRI

We know they work on dopamine receptors to increase dopamine levels
We know the common side effects are neasua vomiting, drowiness and can cause constipation/dirrhoea
we know they are used in depression/obsessive compulsive disorder/panic disorder
always given as a single daily dose except fluoxtine usually max 60mg except sertraline 200mg

If you know this for each class of drug you cant go wrong when your checking because autamtically you will spot odd precriptions.

When checking for interaction first check the PMR to see wether they have had it before if they have usually means its ok. If not just think have i see this combination of drugs before if not check the BNF.

One of the more common side effects of all antidepressants to bare in mind is low sodium
