I used them during the last few weeks before the exam and found them very useful. Aside from past papers, they were a good way to practice and keep your brain active. Not much in the way of calculations, but a good source of MCQs.
Yeah, they are pretty good especially the red one. However, the GPhC are so useless that they have not told us what reference sources we need for the 2012 pre reg exam and MEP 35 is TOTALLY different from previous editions so these books could turn out to be slightly redundant.
Has anyone come across 'The ultimate GPHC registration assessment exam guide' ? My mate has it and says its pretty good but with a few mistakes in it.....
I would recommend getting all 3 of the above mentioned books. If I had to choose one it would be the red one by Nadia Bukhari. Someone will probably publish new books closer to exam time though so maybe you might want to wait.
The ultimate GPHC registration assessment exam guide is really good for breaking down what you need to know for the exam and giving useful nemonics to remeber side effects of drugs. But it does have quite a few mistakes from what I remember!
