I am currently awaiting my results from my first round of hospital applications. I have an independant back up but am considering turning them down and going into second round hospital applications.
Would this be really risky?
Does anyone know how competative second round is?

You cannot be that pessimistic before you've even heard from your hospitals ?

Haha I just like to be prepared for the worst! I didn't get an interview for one and didn't get through the other interview due to nerves. My other interview was a panel one for two hospitals, which went well but it's in a really competitive area so there's still a risk I may not get it.
Just want to get a better idea of what my options would be if I was unsuccessful.
