Let's share our pre-reg experience in boots, no matter your in a pharmacy / health and beauty or flagship!
Let's start off...
I am working in a flagship with 3000+ items a week.
Pros:
3 pharmacists to coach you at the same time
Meet a wide range of customers (could put this under the cons sometimes)
Reach a wider range of medicines
Larger canteen / training rooms / facilities / vendor machines
With lockers and staffs from admin to accountant, handle your claim, payroll, holiday easily with their help
Work with different staffs: ~30+ on the shopping floor
Methadone service and various enhanced services
can dispense as quick as a dispenser
Cons:
Insufficient of time to take care every patient with the best customer service (takes time and we don't want to have a long queue with 10 customers holding their scripts).
Less opportunity to practice your clinical skills.
The customer care measure will be relatively low compare to the smaller stores.
More management problems: owings / scripts request from surgery / repeats / finding the medicines
