I guess you get bigots everywhere but I don't think Scotland is more racist than anywhere else. I did my degree in aberdeen and during the 5 years I was there I didn't have any problems at all. My ethnic background is pakistani and from my experience there, they was more chance for abuse because of me being English than the colour of my skin.
