I really hope you are successful in your appeal pandaeyes, and I really feel for those in a similar position. The exam has no validity in discriminating against competent and incompetent pharmacists. I think they should amend the three attempt rule. You should get three attempts, and if you fail the 3rd attempt, you should be allowed to restart from the beginning of the pre-reg process. This should include removing the requirement for extra work experience between the 2nd and 3rd attempts. The truth is the last thing you really need is more work experience, passing the exam is just about revising like mad, knowing the open book resources cover to cover, and practising the calculations to the point of insanity.
However the bad news for future pre-regs hoping for positive reforms is, rumours are circulating that the powers that be think the exam is too easy, and they may be planning to reduce the number of allowed attempts to 2 at some point in the near future (not affecting people already somewhere along the 3 attempt process)!!!! This would be a disgrace. Only time will tell.
