im an ex pre reg trainee. i did my pre reg last year and failed the exam unfortunately and im in a very awkward position since a second attempt at the exam requires no placement experience in a pharmacy. im going to apply for the june 2011 exam though which is going to be my second sitting. i have not been able to secure work (even voluntary) in a pharmacy and i have been unemployed for a good few months (since september 2010 to be precise). i have been studying for the exam at home/library. im a little worried though due to being away from the practice setting for so long, will it lower my chances of passing? i do feel the exam is more about studying the reference sources well and not so much about practical experience, and because its multiple choice that kinda helps to trigger your memory. what do you ppl think? thanks.
