Tmportant changes for visa applications for community pharmacy pre-registration

Currently community pharmacy is not on the shortage list. The way that international students for community pharmacy pre-registration is to apply the Tier 1 Post Study Work visa. However, the government wants to scrap this route. If this happen, international students may not be able to apply the visa for community pharmacy pre-reg year.

The only thing that the international students to do is to voice their concerns to the company, university and the UKBA...

I have heard it recently and checked the UKBA site...the PSW Tier 1 is not appearing on the site as few days' before and the open consultation disappeared as well?... Worried about this as probably going to community sector. If going home without pre-reg I cannot ever become a pharmacist, then what's the point of doing this course...anyone pressurised from this problem got any idea?

Plus, even community is on the shortage list, not every company is included in the sponsor list if international students can only apply through Tier 2 sponsor route after Tier 1's proposed abolition.

I know this may sound rude but surely you should have done the research before stepping into the country. Eu countries always change rules, no matter what field it is. Secondly, I hope it it scrapped because jobs are getting less with so many students coming from overseas
