Hi, I've just been told that if I do 6 months in industry during the prereg year then I HAVE to do 6 months in community. I thought I'd be able to do 6 months in hospital.
What are the options? I know it's probably advised to do community but is it a necessity?
Also do you have to do the industrial placement in the UK? Cus I know I'd be hard to find a place here.
Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

It's second knowledge from a senior/head hospital pharmacist (she told someone to tell me).
I guess the truth was lost in the interpretation.
Does the industrial placement need to be UK though, as everyone on here says it's hard to get a place as industries are moving abroad.
I don't mind heading overseas for a placement but what are the requirements of a company for it to be an acceptable placement?

The industry placement needs to be done in the UK as it has to be accredited by the GPhC as suitable for providing pre-reg training.
