Hospital type calculations help for june 2011 pre reg exam!!

hi fellow prereg pharmacist,

im doing my prereg at the moment with an independent pharmacy and hoping to sit the june exam ,my tutor has been teling to start calculations asap per day so i get used to it, the ones i have are from the sample papers only!!
my question is if anyone is doing a hospital based prereg this year can you help by sending some of the calculations given to you by your hospital? as im sure they are different from those in the sample papers i hear they are more relevant to the exam, we can all help each other to pass this exam...im happy to also share any calculations i have too..i knw its early days but i just want to get used to all types of calculations!! thanxxx

Sure thing - once I can get hold of some calc questions. So far all I've got is the practice papers sent from the GPhC about a month ago. Haven't done much calc practice so far although I occasionally practice different types of q just to make keep it refreshed in my mind. I'd like to think I'm quite good at calcs and will make a serious start on them next year.

Hospital Pharmacist there Roy Sinclair did a lot of support suff for pre-reg students including a CD which could be ordered for a donation to his chosen charity.

Sadly he is retiring this year, and this support will end.

@ nik, thanks for the reply ill keep u updated once i get hold of any calc myself, yeh i got the gphc sample papers too,they seem to be ok i guess.

@phillmanuk, its a shame he is retiring, ill still visit the pharm group...thnx 4 letin me know
