pharmacy pre reg places

i am just worried that i might not get a pre reg place, i have never had a summer placement, although i have applied for the boots and Lloyds summer placement. last year i did a voluntary placement in lloyds for a period of six weeks. i went to a pre reg interview for lloyds a few weeks ago and i havnt heard anything. i have applied for hospital and other independents. just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what i can do? thanks

A voluntary placement is better than nothing to be honest, some students go into a pre-reg with no experience at all. Are you currently in third year? If so, don't worry too much, pre-reg placements are offered right up until a few weeks before they are due to start, so you will get one. However, you are not always guranteed to get one in your own city, especially if it is one of the major cities, as there will be more competition there.
