Whatever the computer says for Emergency Supply. You will have to select that option from drop down tab 'type of script'.

A chesty cough which has lasted about 3.5 weeks and not seem to be following on from a called, although the pt has had a cold recently. Could this be a chest infection, need referal or chesty cough syrup be sufficient. (more info, middle aged man, no other symptoms, no other medication, no failed medication)

Hi, was jus going to ask a quick question, for scabies treatment it says apply everywhere apart from the face neck and scalp, however in some webpages it states that this is fine to apply onto face and scalp, if I was asked the in an exam which would I put down, that u CANT apply to face, scalp and neck or that you can.
    Thanks for your help

A patient buying gaviscon tablets is already taking omeprazole capsules (1 bd) but is it ok for them to take both omeprazole and gaviscon at the same time? The BNF does not seem to state anything which would suggest that they cant be taken together.

Treatments such as permathrin and malathion can be applied from the chin and ears downwards.

Don't follow the webpages.Always read the BNF or product information leaflet.I have just checked the pemethrin cream for scabies and it clearly states that apply on whole body including face and neck although some manufacturer's recommends to exlcude the head &face.the best thing is to check the cks website.I have checked sandoz make which you can apply on the whole body only in elderly & childern & for adults -exclude the head & face! Don't really know why the sandoz directions are ambiguous

I'm not trying to be pedantic here, but if you 'exclude the body and face' there aren't many places left to put it.

Hi. i think it is often said that gav affects the absorption of other meds hence it is probably best not to take concomitantly but i think it should be fine if taken at seperate times as gav = short term relief after meals whereas omep = long term treatment....
