I agree that the units are totally wrong.
For question 2 -- it says 600 mg active "inclusive of 5% Overhead" so the answer should be 360mg ???? any thoughts. Sometimes the questions are very trickyDon't you have sample answers for these questions from your peers???

I have a feeling someone might just be having a bit of a sad laugh to themselves here. The questions posted are nonsense. Leave it with me.

Hi,
I am a pre-reg starting from july 2009 and will sit for the exam on july2010. Previously, i did quite badly in my calculation test and need to resit when i sit for my exam in uni. So i am very very worry about the pre-reg calculation test as if i fail the calculation i will fail all the papers. Anyone have any past year papers? because i would like to use the calculation questions in openbook section to practise my calculation skill.

There are lots of good work books out there, the key is to understand the principles and do lots of practice and forget about calculation past papers, if they repeat them the change so that the answer is different.
My advice is if you see a calculation question you know check it again because chances are a word has changed which changes the answer.
The calculation pack I used is located at the London hospitals pharmacy pre-reg resources page. It contains some past questions and other exam style questions. There are also posts on this forum with calculations to have a look at.
Make sure you are comfortable with mental or paper arithmetic before you start. Mental arithmetic is much quicker and also useful in Tesco to if you are on a budget.
