hi can anyone clarify if and what cd's a checing tech can check , and also fax presciptions. have i looked for info on net but cannot find any info. If anyone know where to find this info thatb would be great

Checking technicians can check all CDs provided that the pharmacist is happy to allow this (so long as it is not against company SOPs). The ACT may request a second check from a dispenser.

A faxed prescription is not a legally valid prescription. It is usual for the pharmacist to deal with faxed scripts since they are responsible.

I think it's OK if your pharmacist is happy, provided that the pharmacist sees the fax too.
