Why not try a poll for default colour?

Most people seem to prefer blue/green so am changing it to that - later on.

If others want to keep red they can easily change it.

too much graphics for me, so i returned it to original look. happy with the old version. nevertheless, good work elaine.

Ok thanks. It's about the best we can do for now.

The important changes aren't about the actual look, it's all the social networking it does. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you'll see what I mean.

If you join the forum with that new facebook icon (just under login) you can use your existing account (keep the same name/posts/etc), but every time you make a post you have the choice as to wether or not you want to publish it on your Facebook wall as well. Then all our friends see that on Facebook, and if they are pharmacists hopefully they will want to join too!

So come one guys, please put some photos or avatars in the gallery, link to my page on Facebook (and our pharmacy group), Twitter and Myspace. It's just a click at the bottom of the page but if you have friends on those sites it will up our numbers massively.

If you look at your private messages you get a preview of the first two lines of the message. That helps you to remember which ones to keep and which ones to delete. That had to be coded by James! These things which look and seem simple aren't - they are hard!


I am just trying to make this site modern and keep it going forward.

I'm beginning to really like the new look blue, the networking is a good idea, although I prefer to clicking to the illusion of anonymity. Can anyone tell me how you "view first unread" in the new layout, I'm a bit slow at these things.

I think its the square to the left of the thread name, coloured blue, with an arrow in it. If you hover over it it says"go to first new post."

I have the forum setup in my preferences that the display is always newest posts first.

Problem surfaced with Private Messaging to and from those with Golden Pharmacist nicknames. All Registered pharmacists are being put into this group by Admin, but a problem has arisen with the PM system, which may take a few days to fix.

If you want to PM a Pharmacist the best I can suggest is that you send the message to a moderator, who can forward it on to the recipient by email. It won't be as private, or as quick, but that's the best I can think of at the moment.
