Hello Everyone
To attempt to keep the list of members up to date, I composed an e-mail to send to people who have attempted to join the forum but their mail server rejected the initial e-mail required to complete the process. I sent an e-mail to the people on the list of "members awaiting e-mail confirmation" but accidently sent it to the whole membership. I think around 200 people actually received the incorrect e-mail, so if you are one of these then apologies for the error - it was a mistake on my part.
This is the e-mail that was sent in case you are curious: -

Hello
The pharmacy forum is checking/cleaning it's database of members and it seems that you have in the past attempted to join the forum. For whatever reason, the server that you used for your e-mail rejected the post that is sent to new members, meaning you could not complete the joining process. This unfortunately means that we have you listed as a member awaiting e-mail confirmation, but as previously mentioned you could not complete the process.
The forums admin can manually set your account to active, and you can use the forum if you wish to do so. If you would like us to do this then please reply to this e-mail - please note it is a different one to the usual one used - and we will set your account to active. If you would like us to delete your details we can do that, and if you have forgotten your password we can also set you a temporary one.
We hope this e-mail has not caused you any nuisance or offence, and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future. If it is a long time since you tried to join the forum, then apologies foir the delay. Admin@pharmacy-forum.co.uk www.pharmacy-forum.co.uk |
