Hello and welcome to the forum. This forum has been started for the discussion of all things regarding pharmacy. It has been started by Elaine Hutton, a registered UK pharmacist. It is free for everyone to join.

The data collected here, is not passed onto anybody, either an individual or commercial entity. Occasionally you may be e-mailed about the forum, but it will be as a news letter, or to ask people's opinions of how the forum is run. If you do not want to be contacted, or want your details removing, just e-mail admin and your details will be removed from the site.

If you have any questions, or concerns, or are receiving any mail that causes you offence, just e-mail admin and it will be looked into. Every e-mail will be read and replied to. If a person is deliberately trying to cause offence to others, through spam, malicious posts etc they will be warned, and if their behaviour continues, removed from the site. This does not mean lively debate is not allowed!

You are welcome to add a link to your own website, but ones that are commercial sites, or are deemed to be un-professional, or offensive to others, will be removed from your profile. Examples of this would be links to sex sites, racist, sexist, homophobic or things of that nature. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MATERIAL ON ANY SITES THAT ARE LINKED TO THIS ONE.

This website is open to everyone. If you are a pharmacist, member of the public or other health care professional you are welcome to post topics here.

I am about to pursue pharmacy at the university and i think i need your help.How do i prepare myself for the task ahead of me.Thanx.

Hi

Well you need to get your entrance qualifications for the school of pharmacy you want to go to study at. It depends on your level of education at the moment. If you put a bit more detail about yourself it would help. Basically: -

1. Look up schools of pharmacy and decide which one you like best (3-4)

2. Find out what grades they require, or alternative qualifications to AS levels (such as HNC, HND etc)

3. Study for the entrance qualifications

4. Apply and get accepted

5. Go - get your degree, and start your pre-reg

6. Live happily ever after ??????????

There's a list of schools of pharmacy on the forum to make it a bit easier to look all the schools up. Look on "Thinking of becoming a Pharmacist" and then inside there's a list of schools of pharmacy.

If you want more help just post. A few details such as age, qualifications you already have, etc would help.
