    Certificates for registering

I've finally received my certificates! Does anyone know if you have to send copies of all 3, including the Work based that shows each Unit? Or jus the 2 saying i've completed the course? Don't want to copy any more than I need to at £5 a time!
    Thanks, Ginny

Surely you know a friend with a scanner and computer. I have a spare Epson Perfection which not compatible with Windows 7, but fine for XPS. Will be donating it to Age UK. Currently have Canon scanner from Amazon;;;£50.

Trouble is, the copies have to be certified by a solicitor. A friend of mine had hers sent back as her Pharmacist had certified the copy.

Ginny- I sent all 3 of mine, but didnt really think about whether it would be needed or not!

My Pharmacist signed all my paperwork and copies of certificates. I sent all three just in case. Nothing was returned and I did all this from New Zealand back in 2007!! No hassle at all. Is it the new thing now that you have to have all your stuff signed by a solicitor??

Signed by a solicitor! These people are on minimum wage and a solicitor likely to charge £25 per time. I have already said that these courses are not fit for purpose. I stand by what I said.

Each bit of id & the certs have to be certified copies using the precise wording they have stated in the Aplication notes.
Thanks, Tinx. I think I prob will do all 3 to be on the safe side.

Talking to the other Techs at work, it changed when it went from RPSBG to GPhC!

I was lucky, as I got a payrise once I registered, so it paid for itself within 25 hours. Not the same for everyone I know!

Ah ha!!! That explains it all then. So glad I registered when I did. I was going to leave it till it became compulsory but my tutor pharmacist told me to get on with it and get registered. Bless her. She must have known what was going to happen. Surely though it's best to have your Pharmacist countersign all your documents?? This professional person can countersign passport applications.....why not a few certificates??? And they have known you for at least the two years it normally takes to get through an NVQ 3. How many of us know a solicitor well?? Weird rules and regulations....

You have to get certs signed by a solicitor..I got a discount as I had 10 done (birth certs, marriage certs etc...) shop around I went to a local one who I've never meet before no problems, I think it cost £15.00 for all 10!!

I know this is going to sound dumb but who came up with this idea that only a solicitor can countersign such things???? Having your Pharmacist countersign was perfectly acceptable in the past.....I'm assuming that the solicitor who doesn't have a single clue who you are looks at other forms of I.D prior to signing everything? £15 for a few minutes work isn't bad money...maybe we are all in the wrong job....
