Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I'm in the middle of finishing module 15, and one of my colleagues informed me and our boss that she wants to do NVQ3 as well. Apparently he said that while I'm still doing this course the books belongs to the company and that I MUST show her the books. Is that a legal thing to do? I thought this course and the books and my work is private and confidential, and I got notes in those books. If she takes them home and copy that.. so far I really worked hard through this course, and now I don't know what to do? Shall I show her or shall I contact the NPA department?
I would ring npa 2moro. i wouldnt be happy either. you could show them course content but i dont see why they shoild see your work! it says somewhere that all work must be your own anyway.
Hi, I think i will do that. thank you for your answer, i just wanted to ask for advice and people thoughts. Thank you craftycaz50! xx
Anyone else got any thoughts about it?

Hi barbaram85, I would also contact your course provider if I were you. I am sure plagiarism is mentioned somewhere in the introduction of the coursework. Also why should anyone else benefit from all your own hard work which was probably done in your own time!!! Let me know how you get on xx
Thank you greenmonkey I will contact them. I did say to her that sit down and give advice I can do that, and what she shoud and shouldn't do is well. But that's all I would do.
Hi barbaram85, As far as I know your work colleague has to register first to do the NVQ3 course. How can she use your module work and case studies? its all your work. Maybe its differant in Ireland where I'm from, but all my case studies have to be sent to an independent marker to be marked. How can she prove she did
the course without registering with them first? It doesn't make sense. My colleague did the course before me but I couldn't use her work, i had to register with
them myself and get my own course work sent to me, and get my student number to put on all correspondence to my marker. Let me know how you get on.
Good Luck. X
Hi Barbaram85
Everyone is correct. Each student for NVQ 3 must register with the educational establishment and receive a student number and course booklets etc. Showing your course books to the next student isn't the done thing. Who is your course provider? They will be able to advise you. And your books are your own property. Who do you work for?? And yes there is a rule about plagiarism in the course rules too. I hope you get on ok...
Thanks, My course provider in NPA but I contacted them and the course she will have to do is slightly diffrent, and they don't see anything in that. If she was to copy my work then that would be obvious, because the modules are diffrent now.that's what they told me. I can show her the books, but not MCQs and case studies. the books belong to the company because they paid for me. I did say that i can show her the clean book but not the one i already passed. It's really confused this honestly, but never mind. No-one showed me anything before i started and im doing fine.
