    Registration

OMG- Just looked at Pharmacy Tech Registration details on website- didn't realise it costs £240 when you 1st register!!!
I was going to get myself a new mobile to celebrrate when I finish, & not wait for contract to run out. Might have to put that on hold

On the plus side, registering doesn't look too hard- unless I read it wrong. will have to find birth certificate & wedding certificate tho!

I know - it was a shocker, I didn't expect it to be that much! Also the solicitor then charged £5 per document to create certified copies, so soon adds up.
Just don't forget that they will take it (as I did) and for me, it was on the wrong side of payday!
The form itself is very straightforward - I think I've completed it correctly, although am now just waiting to hear.

    Hi Tinx
Can you please tell me what Module 18 registration consists of? How soon after completing it does your certificate come through. Many thanks xxx

    Re: Registration

Module 18 is a comparatively short workbook, which took me around 2 days to do.
It took the usual 4-8 weeks to come back from the marker. 2 weeks from that I got my letter saying I had completed the NVQ 3, and that the certificates can take up to 10 weeks, mine took about 2 weeks from then.

I then posted my application off at the beginning of July, and have just searched the registers today to find that I am on there!!!

Check with the General Pharmaceutical Council but as a techncian you will need an NVQ 3 and an underpinning knowledge qualifaction such as the BTEC, as a Pharmacist, I guess a MPharm degree and pass the pre=reg exam...the law has just changed and applies to overseas applicants as well now.

    Re: Registration

Has anyone had the initial registration fee taken out yet! Really fed up of wait! Surely they would have been in touch now if there was a problem!
