I'm looking for any help I can get to what's probably a simple question, but I just can get my head round it & it's making my brain go blank
Here it is...
Mr Green would like to know why his 'cholesterol' tablets (Simvastatin) have a strength of 40mg, but his wife's 'cholesterol' tablets called rosuvastatin are only 10mg - but her cholesterol level is higher than his.
Explain how you would respond to Mr Green
I'd appreciate any feedback as right now I just want to respond to Mr Green by bursting into tears, lol.
Mine was just a short answer- drugs have different strengths. Some are more potent than others and a smaller amount is necessary to have the requireed effect. so although the Rosuvastatin is a lower strength it has a greater effect on lowering cholesterol.

Hi guys, I have found that answering a question fully, so therefore taking into consideration all aspects of the patient, the condition and all clinical data; I do get excellent marks and feedback. Some (short answer) questions I have answered on NVQ3 have been a few sentences, whereas others have been a full side of A4. I think as long as you cover the main bits the assessors are happy. I just got marked A+++ for module 9 and she said if it was possible she would give me more. So I think I maybe go over-the-top. Dx
