    Re: unit 5 and workbook

I would start by completing the workbook - this will cover all the knowledge requirements.

I then covered the criteria with 7 reports:
    - Appraisal with my Pharmacist
    - Appraisal with my Line Manager
    - How I plan my daily workload
    - Training a colleague on a task
    - A training day I attended
    - How I planned and studied the Module I was doing alongside it
    - How I planned and carried out a date check of the MDS unit.

If you have any more specific questions let me know!

    Hi Sezza,
You have to do both. You complete the workbook, which you can claim for ranges, knowledge, etc, but you still have to do the number of activity reports it asks for in addition for each element! Its a right pain in the wotsit!

If I were you, I would start with the workbook. Once you have completed that, I would read the standards booklet carefully.
I would then fill in the knowledge, PCs and ranges for the workbook activities.
The standards booklet details how many reports are required. Make sure that between the reports and workbook, ALL of the PCs are covered. The workbook covers all of the Knowledge requirements.

    Sezza,
If you look in pink lages it says how many for each element.
For ex for el 1 I did 5 reports & 8 workbook pages.
Things i wrote a bout for this unit were- how I planned time when opened Unit 14, over Xmas when I was running behjind with a Unit, and how I emailed to tell assesor & what planned to do different so didn't happen again. Had an appraisal & wrote reports, also times when had to prioritise 1 task over another, and someone has helped me so we get all tasks done on time- e.g order sent.
    Hope this helps

    Hiya sezza
The info I used in my reports for unit 5 I also used them in my workbook as well. Examples I used are appraisal from my pharmacist manager, showing a colleague how to access PMR, prioritising my work, asking for more time to complete work due to hols. Hope this helps xx

    Re: unit 5 and workbook

For page 6 I wrote & answered the qs on p5 regarding a new task- mine was doing a Professional Sale on the PC. I the claimed
    el1 pc 1, 2, 3, 7 ranges a c d f l k 1 2 4 6 7 8
    el2 pc 6,7 range b c k 10 13 15
I think I tried to keep in mind what I had to show whilst I was writing, adding sentenances so I'd covered things.
