    Training question

Hi, am due to start the NVQ3 course in Pharmacy Services this year. Just wondered if anyone would be kind enough to list the module titles so that I can start doing some reading and learning as preparation.
Have been reading everything I could find since September, but would be helpful if I knew some of the specific areas involved so that I can narrow it down a bit.
    Many thanks, Jennifer.

    Hi Jennifer

The NVQ3 in Pharmacy Services is now known as the Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ)(QCF).

Are you completing your Level 3 qualification with Buttercups? The module titles are available on the Buttercups website. Click course content to see the module titles and units to see the evidence collection unit titles.

    Re: Training question

Thanks very much, I will go over now and take a look.
I think that I will be taking the course with Buttercups....I work for Rowlands pharmacy chain so am doing it through their supplier which I think is Buttercups.
Am hoping to start in June but have not heard anything yet. I just want to learn as much as I can in preparation as I have only worked in pharmacy for two years, so I know that im way behind everyone else and have a lot to catch up on!
    Thanks for your help.

    Re: Training question

The brief outline on the NPA website looks pretty similar to the more detailed information on the Buttercups site.
NPA-Education Training -NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services
I would imagine they cover pretty similar areas.
There are open days you can attend once you're enrolled which give you lots more info on what to expect, and am sure if you email them they'll send you a more concise list of the modules.
Good luck, hope it all goes well for you x

    Hi Hazeleyes

Both Buttercups and the NPA work to the same standards set down by the GPhC.

Buttercups provide round the clock support via telephone and email to all enrolled learners from our team of Pharmacists, Assessors and Course Tutors.
