The regime you've described is as follows:

2 NRTI's (Nucleoside reverse transciptase inhibitors) and a boosted protease inhibitor. The boosted bit means using low dose ritonavir to enhance the activity of other protease inhibitors. Lopinavir and ritonavir is the kaletra 200/50 prep (2 bd covers the doses you've written). Abacavir and lamivudine is the kivexa prep. In the BNF, at the start of the HIV section under initiation of treatment it describes which patient groups such a regime is suitable for. Reason ritonavir is used is because it inhibits one of the CYP enzymes which metabolise protease inhibitors, prolonging their effect.

Such a variety of regimes, with similar sounding drug names, all dependent on individual factors which regimes patients get started on. Usually would be 2 NRTI's and 1 NNRTI but different strategies are available.
