    Suggested Books

Hi all I am doing NVQ 3 Buttercups course
so far with the aid of the the course work and the internet, I am plodding through the assignments, quite slowly...however the next few module have arrived and I would really like to get myself a good Human Physiology book.
Has anyone invested in one and would be happy to recommend one for me please
Amazon have them but they are £30+, which is quite expensive to get wrong

    Thanks

    Hi Dee

I have just spoken to one of our course writers here at Buttercups and based on the subject matter you require they have recommended the following books:

Ross and Wilson, Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Illness

Vander, Sherman, Luciano, Physiology - The Mechanisms of Body Function

The first book is aimed at Healthcare Professionals such as Nurses and Paramedics whereas the second book is aimed at first year undergraduate students. The second book is certainly lighter reading than the first and explains concepts and mechanisms in a very simple fashion.

If you cut and paste the titles above in to Google, you should find these books available both new and used at competitive prices should you wish to purchase these books to further your own knowledge.

If you require further recommendations, help or advice, please contact Buttercups via training@buttercups.co.uk or on 0115 9374936

    Hi Papercuts

As the books recommended above are reference texts based around the subject of Human Physiology, it is not essential to buy a book printed and published in 2011.

Brand new textbooks tend to be very expensive. It's worth copying and pasting the title of each of the above books into a search engine. Used, nearly new or as new books can often be found for a fraction of the original price.
