I'm not sure if you can change the main deadlines. This is my second attempt at this course (I ran out of time the first time round due to 0% support from my manager) They can give you an extension, or in 'special circumstances' they will re-do the timetable for you, but in order to register as a Technician you need to have completed the course within the two year timeslot, so they can be reluctant to do this. The first few modules are quite easy, so don't worry

Do you know if it is ok to type up anything that you have to write and attach it to the book?? Also the personal statment? I would much rather do that, I think it looks much better not that my writing is not neat or anything! Are you going to get support this time round do you think? Will they give you time at work as well?

Yes, it's fine to type things up. Your supervising pharmacist will just need to make a declaration that your computer-generated work is all your own. Obviously the activities written in the book will need to be handwritten, but I used to type up all my coursework, as at least you have a copy of it if anything gets lot in the post! Diagrams can be really useful sometimes, but tricky to do well on the PC unless you know what you are doing, so you may need to handwrite some of the assignments. See how you go

As for support... I sincerly hope so. I made a informal grievance against my manager last year due to their blatent lack of support for me and yet giving more than enough to another collegue. If it doesn't happen this time, I will make the complaint formal. I've made that very clear to him, and he is being very nice to me at the moment. Let's hope it lasts! I've asked for 3-4 hours each week. I'll keep you posted.

How about you, do you think you will recieve the support you need from your management and/or pharmacist?
