After searching for ages i have found trainee dispenser job with boots. I filled in online application and after weeks and weeks just heard back, they want me to go for assessment next week. Told me to go smart as i will also be on shop floor.
Im really nervous as not had interview in 15 years!!! work for council now but gettin made redundant.
My question is, has anyone else been for this assessment and what am i likely to expect????????
You are going to have a profound culture shock. Search the forum for interviews. The question has been asked many times, perhaps we have got tired of giving the same answers.

Hi Gracie
Not sure about the assessment thing but my interview was held in a popular coffee shop and consisted of a good gossip with the manager of the store i'd applied to. I've asked the others I work with and no one else has had an assessment for a trainee dispensers position. Just the long Q and A sesh on the website prior to applying and then the interview itself!!!! Maybe different stores and areas recruit in other ways. Hope it all goes well for ya. The moaning Minnie in me would say that as long as you can bag nappies, keep a smile plastered to your face and bang on and on about the "card", then you'll be a shoe in for the job.
Good luck
They may give you as sales persons assessment, as you will also be working on the shop floor. Some are made to walk the shop floor and point out things that could be improved, e.g. crates unattended, slippy floor, empty shelves etc. Or they may ask you to 'sell' or recommend products for a hypothetical customer. HTHs! Good luck
