hi all they are trying to get the old style course finished thats why there is big delay i sent mine on 9th feb only went to marker on 22nd thats when they get a month from then to have it back to you. and ikle i did unit 7 which was sort of same as 5 but make sure u do activity reports for all cant cover in book and do sheets saying see activity book pg ?? then write knowledge pc's n range

I rang up npa today asking where my course was and ironically it was sent off to me today and they say i should get it tomorrow or wed! Its took ages coming through though. I think I sent it about last week of January so its taken about 6 weeks! I was beginning to wonder if it got lost but fingers crossed itl come through. I just hope to god its passed as I really want to send my next unit off! hows everyone else doing? Krisi x
my assessor changed to NPA too, but when i got it back (much later than usual) i noticed that the marker was the husband of my usual marker.. and then a sticker was put on it saying next time send it straight to her, which i did and she marked the unit and her husband marked the module. Unit 13 took no time at all to be returned. which module are you on now?
hey the old style course is the where u do the modules for 1st yr and units for 2nd it started in 07 its the one im doing n we had a finish date for 28th feb to make sure we get our certificates for july when it comes compulsory to be registered so i think this month will be worse for every1 sendin off their work so we can all get our certificates in time
ooooooooooooh i didnt know that course was still going. my colleague did that where i used to work - im not sure if shes finished it or not though! i bet its a bit easier concentrating on units on year an the modules the next although still a pain in the butt i bet, Did you manage to get yours finished for the deadline then? i hope you have. Have you had feedback? im sure you will do great
yea its just coming to an end now and that was the course i did it was easy doin 1st yr as all modules but the 2nd yr was hard as i had 1-2yr break due to running a nursing home section n not bein able to get any evidence. BUT i managed to send it in for 9th feb so i have till 21-22nd of this month to find out if passed it or needs resubbin spoke to npa n they said that if it needs resubbin we still have time but they cant guarantee certificate in time
I rang the NPA today to enquire why they have sent me Module 16 and Unit 1 but not Module 15 so thats getting sent out to me shortly (I hope - though I'm not looking to start it anytime soon anyway!) and also enquired about my resub. Apparently it only got to them the 1st of March and they are quoting a month for it to be marked and sent back so looks like I won't be getting anything till near the end of the month :/
However, I did ask what I should do with my current Module and Unit that I've finished sand the woman said as long as I send in the Summary of Student's Achievement Form with the work it'll still get marked and signed off and it doesn't matter if the signing off is done on seperate pieces of paper! Wish I had known that two weeks ago and I could have sent it all off then!
I swear this NVQ is driving me potty. I'm so glad I'm not doing the old style course though - I think my head would have exploded very soon into the second year!
