    When I was selling Sulphas and Drs mentioned 1:50,000 chance of Steven Johnson syndrome, I would ask if they used Chloramphenicol eye drops, if affirmative, had paper showing incidence of 'grey baby' syndome of 1:40,000. Ie Higher risk.
    Later used same paper when selling Fucithalmic Eye drops to neonantal units. I blamed the nitro grouping. However, this info was given when at uni over 50 years ago. post the structure someone please.

    couldn't quite be bothered faffing around with egtting just the structure...so yes it does have a nitro group,but nothing really to suggest it is a cytotoic.....

    You may have already found this, but take a look at the DoH website -

    Page 223 onwards in the document provides a list of cytotoxics and how they should be disposed of.....
