hi everyone has anyone done unit 2 element 2.3 maintain stock range e isolated checking cytotoxics check levels and expiry dates and if so what did you use for evidence thanks sezza

I didn't use Cytotoxics- we have a separate shelf for Sulphonylureas (Gliclazide/Glipizide etc) - I tidied it, date checked it and re-ordered as needed. I then attached a copy of the date checking matrix and a photograph of the shelf.

In our pharmacy we have a rota/sheet that has a list of designated areas (such as the fridge, creams, eye drops etc) that is signed every month by the member of staff that checks it. I submitted the rota as evidence when I checked the fridge one month for expiry dates, that the thermometer was working correctly and that it was clean, and that I checked the cytotoxic medicines after which I said we keep seperate from other medicines and the rota was accepted as evidence.

What is a date checking matrix Tinx25388? Would harmful/hazardous/flammable items come under range e isolated?

i just added the date checking sop and a picture of the methotrexate basket that we use and a matrix is a form where u write which dates u check it. as we dont have it in place i said that we stick labels with dates on it so i put that on the basket for the picture.
