HI please hep how wold you explain the structure of the small intestine is related to its function

About time I helped someone for a change!
Function is to absorb nutrients and complete digestion. Nutrients are absorbed through blood vessels on surface. Instead of smooth surfacee it has lots of folds of little fingers called villi. This greatly increases internal surface of small intestine, so absorbs a lot more. Also each villus has lots of blood vessels for digested food to pass through. Structure gives max opportunity for absorption.
