Evidence unit 1 - Dispense medicines and products.

Hi I am currently trying to get the last few reports written to post this off but i am struggling to think of ways to get K22 23 24 25 26 27 into my reports as in my view i wouldnt really need to mention any of these. Or if anyone can think of a simulation question to cover them all i would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

I haven't completed this Unit yet- I need to spend some time in the main dispensary, but so far, this is what I have put:
K22 = I used a script that read "1 tds" and put in my report that this means One tablet three times a day. Had a couple of different examples
K23 = On a couple of my reports I wrote what was on the script, and that I had to dispense the brand, and also that I endorsed the brand on the script.
K24 = Suspensions easier for young children/those with swallowing difficulties, Capsules easier to swallow than tablets (I had a patient who couldnt swallow tablets or capsules)
K27 = Claimed this on the script where I had done an intervention eg: allergic to Penicillin, prescribed amoxicillin, same group of drugs therefore likely to be allergic too, also how two drugs interact (Clarithromycin and Simvastatin was my example)

    I'm still working on 25 & 26 myself!

    Thank You

Gosh those points are so obvious - how did i not think of it. I think sometimes you overthink what they want you to write!

I think I can cover k25 and 26 by looking out for a rx with 2 inhalers then i can explain why the patient inhales the drug opposed to tablets usually and also the reason for steroid and releiver inhalers??

I have the majority of others covered if you need a hand - thanks again!!

I did use a script for aspirin and clopidogrel, both the drugs no longer recommended together...
K25:I did write about the consequences of using both drugs together that is increasing the rate of severe bleeding(you can find more info if u google it)
I covered most of the k's of element 2 in this report..
I am already two months overdue for my unit 1:-(
