    DAC Unit 2

Hi. Hoping someone can help me. I'm doing the NPA DAC Unit 2. I'm trying to complete the assessment tasks but I'm stuck on Exercise 4, specifically filling in the MAR sheet.

Can anyone shed some light? I would ask my supervising pharmacist but he only works 1 day a week, which is the busiest day when I'm not in anyway. Every time I've called in to see him for some help, he's been too busy!!!

The MAR sheet mirrors the NHS script but lists all medications with dosage etc. It is designed to make it easy for the staff at the home.
You do not state exactly what is the problem. Eg have you ever seen a MAR sheet?

No, we don't use them in our pharmacy. I don't know where I can find an example so I don't know what the examiner will be looking for.

As has been said many times to new posters asking the same old question: 'Google is your friend'.

A quick search turned up this :

Medication Record - Templates - Microsoft Office

Many other sites offering templates and detailed explanations.

Come back with any further queries.

Do you work for an independant or a multiple? If it is a multiple, there may be a store nearby that does Care Homes. I work in a Care Homes Unit, and we often have visitors doing their DAC! However I do find the one that they put in the exercise to be cover-complicated. I printed one that our company uses, and it was accepted.

If not, then as John says, Google is your friend!
