If they aren't taking their meds for another reason, such as they don't want to or they are suffering side-effects then simply putting the meds in a dosette box will not help, despite what some doctors and nurses think. There is a view that every compliance problem can be solved this way. They can't.
A compliance aid takes away a lot of a patient's independance and they may (often rightly, in my view) resent this.

With psych patients it may make matters worse as if they have symptoms of paranoia they may think you are trying to disguise what the tablets really are and they will simply remove the tablets and dispose of them rather than take them.
