    Lloyds Feeble attempt at training

Does anyone have any clue why every member of staff now have to complete what looks like a kiddies school book on the subject of medicine sales protocol??? I found an email from HO saying that even Pharmacists need to complete them. It's basically an insult to the intelligence of many of the pharmacy staff. I was wondering if it's a new legal requirement or is it part of the companys feeble attempt at training their staff. Well, if we aren't spending 20 mins a month clicking on pointless and often incorrect multiple choice question anymore, then maybe the new colouring in books will do as Lloyds answer to investing in their staff !!!! HA HA HA......This just gets funnier...

Its probably to do with an SOP which they are trying to make fool proof.

Probably something to do with the ongoing Customer First thing where it's being fed back that staff are repeatedly not asking the 2WHAM questions, it's happened in my store more than once and in countless others apparently in our area. I have to say it drives me nuts as all bar one of the staff members in my store have been working in pharmacy longer than I've been qualified.

And don't get me started on the idiots who make up the multiple choice things with the wrong answers...

I'd love to know who makes up the questions and answers on these crappy MSA's. Seriously, these people are really quite mad. I remember one question about EHC's. According to the muppet who made up this crap, as well as supervising the EHC sale ( which I already assumed the Pharmacist normally deals with anyway) the MCA should be congratulated for making a sale with the EHC!!! Seriously, this isn't like selling some crappy veg steamer.............
And they call this training!! Hah Hah hah............

why would you want to congratulate them for referring someone to the pharmacist!...surely thats their job...or do we now have to slap people on the back and jump in the air with party poppers whenever they do something in their job description??? woop woop!!! well done!" patronising?

It's not about being part of their job description it's about getting the £22 from the customer into the till. I am glad I no longer work as a HCA for lloyds - are they still selling the UV toothbrush cleaner ?

Latest issue of Which? magazine had a review of blood pressure monitors - Lloyds didn't make it into the top 5 and weren't mentioned at all except for their wrist monitor, which was appropriately panned. Be prepared for those members of the public coming in with a copy of Which? magazine...

I always wonder what they are going to come up with next!!!! Lloyds gadgets.....my friend bought the steamer. She used it according to all instructions and her veg was just warm and raw in the middle. Someone else bought the body fat analyser thing that told her she was morbidly obese when she's nearly six foot tall and weighs just over 9 stone. The blood pressure monitors are always being returned for various reasons. I just worry that the cholesterol monitors start fibbing to patients. That could be nasty.....
