I've finally managed to transfer to a branch of the company which according to the company, is overstaffed! Its the only branch I've worked at where I feel able to do a good and thorough job! Don't get me wrong, its not easy, its just nice not to be working at 100mph for once!

"Overstaffed" is just another bollocks term bandied about by upper management staff etc. It's usually used to describe Pharmacies where you can actually get to the toilet in peace, have a proper break and basically not be working at 300mph from start to finish. If you can get the monkeys on the ground floor (ie you and me) to do double the amount of services and items with half the amount of staff, then you're doing your job correctly.
I've only ever come across about dozen pharmacies where I would genuinely describe them as being "overstaffed".

Blimey....the wages gap between community and hospital for support staff is getting wider.....So is the actual quality of the job role. Job satisfaction in hospital was so high and in my current role is absolutely non-existent. Both myself and my Tech colleague are trying so hard to get a real job. If any support staff out there get the golden opportunity of a position in any hospital, go for it and count your blessings that you are out of the utter crap that is community pharmacy these days. Sorry to be so negative about the whole thing but i've just found out my "manager" has screwed me over big time and i'm understandably p***** off.
