    Pharmacy Technician from EEA (Poland)

    Hello everyone.

I gained my education in Poland, I'm a qualified Pharmacy Technician. Is there anything I need to do for my qualifications to be recognized here? Do I have to be registered with RPSGB to work as a pharmacy technician here?

    Thank you.

    M.

Seeing as we have very many Poles in East Anglia, no problem for you. All polish delicacies stocked in local stores.

Reason why so many Poles in East Anglia is:
    1) Stansted Airport.
    2) lots of casual work harvesting soft fruit and veg.
    3) Cambridge, Ely and Bury are tourist towns with many jobs for staff in restaurants, pubs etc. The locals are not interested in casual work or waiting, much easier to stroll around with your mates on benefits.

    Bellalouise,

I have been registered with RPSGB as a Pharmacy Technician, but I have been removed from the registration when my debit card was stolen, replaced, etc. I have changed the address...and it all went wrong.

    But them main concern is:

I have completed the EEA (RPSGB) registration pack and registered successfully. Then I have started work in community pharmacy, but my boss said that he rang NPA and I have to complete the NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services.

How on earth I have been successfully registered with RPSGB but NPA wanted me to complete the NVQ 3 course. That's what I don't understand.

I wish people would give us the facts before asking questions. I thought you had a Polish tech qualification and were still in Poland.

I wish people would ask questions if they're not sure before start flooding the forum with nonsense.

I have Polish qualifications, but no sure whether they are NVQ, BTEC equivalent.

I assume if RPSGB registered me successfully after filling EEA pack they are.

Living in the UK you need an NVQ3 in pharmacy services to register with RPSGB (and they want cash to enter you onto the register but registration is voluntary, and will continue to be voluntary for a year.
Email them and ask if you can work here with your qualifications:

Why don't you phone the RPSGB and ask? I had to ring them with a query on my application and they were very helpful. Are you working in a pharmacy at the moment?
