    Health and Safety- thank you!

My Heath & Safety came back today and it was all ok!
I just wanted to thank you all for your help, ideas and encouragement. It really helped.
No doubt I'll need it again soon.
    Thank you.
And to those who are doing it now, it may not feel like it but it is do-able!

(cheesy i know but I was a bit chuffed and relieved!)

Hi Ginny, glad to hear your coursework was all ok. It's such a relief when you get that letter to say it's met the standards! How much longer do you have left on the course? I finished mine in December. Stick with it, it's hard going but so worth it. I'm in the process of re-reading all my modules now to refresh my memory. The course is so intense I felt I'd rushed through the case studies and would've liked to have had more time to take it all in so that's what I'm doing. Hope the rest of it goes well, let me know if you need any help with it x

    Hi Bellalouise,
I'm on my 1s year, haing started in January. It was only the 2nd evidence unit I'd sent off. A long way to go yet.
I know what you mean about rushing, learning the modules, doing the case studies AND doing the Unit seems to be a lot of work for 6 weeks.
    Thanks for your message.
    Ginny x

    Dear Cassie,
I was struggling eith that too. Then my pharmacist said to look at my contract. When it was initially sent to me I was also sent the Staff rules. These are basically a NPA Information Sheet. Within that it says about not smoking in the dispensary or shop, and being in possesion of drugs being gross misconduct. I expanded on these, and also mentioned the smoking ban which means its illegal to smoke anyway. I also included the RPSGB guidelines about not keeping food in the fridge.
What I did was say that I had a short break at lunchtime. I went outside to eat because we're not allowed to eat in the dispensary ( I got away with that, it seems to be a rule everyone knows about, isn't written anywhere, and no one follows anyway!) I got my lunch from the kitchen fridge. I then said that I don't smoke but if I did then I would now because... and then added about not taking drugs- impairs judgement etc. Finally I went to the toilet, washed my hands, and went back to work! Oh and I washed my hands before eating lunch too!
    Hope that helps x
