unit 4 health and safety pc7

Help it's health and safety time again, does anyone else have any suggestion of how to cover element 4.2 pc 7 'when you find a difference between what you do in the pharmacy and what a supplier or manufacturer recommends' I am really struggling and should really send it off tomorrow. I have yet to find anything that as far as I know that we don't do as we should.

Don't know if this will help,but I used our shredder! An earlier comment to a similar question pointed out that it could be a printer, telephone, microwave etc. Our shredder is supposed to be oiled when emptied. Because it's new somebody emptied it without oiling it!!
Don't know if it's ok yet though- I'm posting mine tomorrow too.

i mentioned the shredder when i did mine, the instructions stated that the cutting blades should be oiled with cutting block oil if the tearing capacity drops or the noise increases, our work places policy didnt state that, i googled " paper shredder" and printed off the instructions for a paper shredder which i sent in as evidence.

if you use the printer/fax machine you could mention that you re-fil the ink cartridge, insrtuctions might state to replace with new ink cartridge

Thanks for the suggestion I used the shredder even though we don't have a work place policy for it. I mentioned about the instructions stating to keep hands, hair and clothing out of the opening and to put it into reverse if this emergency situation arose. This action isn't immediatley obvious so I made a sign, stuck it to the wall near the shredder took a photo and copy of the sign, and finally sent it off. Thank goodness it's due monday and it was frying my brain.
Good luck with the rest of your work at least It seems for those doing NPA nvq 3 there is only unit 2 to do this side of september !
