experienced ACT? what qualifications are there next?

hi ,ive been a qualified ACT for 3 yearsand a registered tech for 5years,and worked as a relief/ locum act within my company. i enjoy my role but am always seeking the next qualification to gain. im interested in the foundation degree for techs but this isnt an easy option to take as i dont live near the uni that provides the course and i have a young child. apart from the NVQ4(HAS ANYONE DONE THIS?) is there anything else for us?

Hi, what is the NVQ 4 in? I haven't heard of that one. I did the NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and I've recently qualified as an ACT. I'm enjoying the break from studying at the moment but I know I'll get bored of it before long. I was thinking of studying Human Biology or Chemistry but would prefer something pharmacy specific. I don't want to do a degree or anything as intense as that. Anyone got any ideas?

I did a year of the foundation degree and I was NOT impressed. I feel as though I wasted a lot of money and worked hard for very little in return. It may have been because the Uni I went to were very new to providing the course and this did show in the way it was organised. I have heard other educational establishments that provide the course are much better. I won't put the name of the Uni here.

Have you looked into the clinical diplomas and the medicines management (think they are aimed more at hospital techs but not sure about this)?
