Nvq 3 unit 4 health & safety~help!!~

Really could use some help/advice form you guys. Im a bit confused with this unit. Basically i dont get how 4.1 is different form 4.2. ?????
Ive done a report on a broken bottle of oramorph i found in an order, one on methotrexate dispensing and i guess i could do one on the fire drill we had last week. But which element means what??

Hi Kate18

Unit 4.1 is about you identifying risks to H+S in your work place.
Unit 4.2 is about you showing how you have reduced the risks to H+S in your pharmacy.

It's a horrible unit, your not alone, I am struggling big time with it

Dont forget that you can use a report for both elements, so as long as you cover the PCs there is nothing to stop you using it for both elements!

Thats what i did - i dont know if this helps you but i wrote a report about how some antibiotic solutions can look very similar when unreconstituted and there is a DANGER (keyword!) of selecting and dispensing the wrong one so i came up with the idea of keeping each type in its own, labeled basket! I then took a photo of my work to use as evidence. It showed that i had identified a risk and taken steps to reduce it. Maybe you can find something like that in your pharmacy

Good thinking JPtech! Thankd for photo idea. I have taken 1, which is well dodgy. No need to worry about my assesor fancing me- esp as she's female!
